Had some free time yesterday so decided to change the fluid in the diffs on my 2018 JLUR 25k miles. Process is really easy to do. Fluids front and rear looked about what I expected, rear was a darker brown color and the front was lighter in color. Filled with Mobil1 75w95 (I believe manual specs 75w85). My vehicle has been used mostly for commuting light off road and highway driving.

Because its so easy to do I'd say do it sooner than later, but it could have waited...

Based upon the results of my UOA at only 5K miles and the fact the capacity on both front and rear axles of a JL are tiny (1.3QTs in the front and 1.6QTs in the rear), I would definitely change the oil sooner than later. I have performed dozens of UOAs on axles (low mileage and high mileage) and have never seen so much iron in a sample with only 5,000 miles of normal driving (no off roading or towing),
