Just got mine back from the shop after installing a Metalcloack 2.5" True Dual Lift w/ Fox Racing Shox Factory Race Series 2.5 Reservoir Front/Rear Adjustable Shocks and a Fox Racing Shox Factory Race Series 2.0 ATS Steering Stabilizer. Ride is super smooth (it's on BF Goodrich AT T/A KO2s 37x12.50x17) on highway and no wiggling at all at 80 mph. Super happy with how it came out.

Had originally planned for the Falcon shocks but decided to switch to the Fox's with the external reservoir to avoid the issues with the Diesel's odd windshield wiper fluid placement.

I'm 5'4" and definitely have to climb/jump in. :)

How is the metalcloak treating you so far? I really want to pull the trigger on a game changer 2.5 but just talked to metalcloak and they said they are using 3.6 springs. Just dont see how an extra 375lbs over the front springs doesnt change the ridw and hieght. Did you measure before and after to see what actual lift you got? Any difference in front / rear?

Thanks!

I just ordered mine ($1,244), but my 2021 JLURD is at least a month away from delivery. I will save money on freight by picking it up at the vendor myself - only 30 miles from me.

That's a good price... where did you get it?

I too was thinking MC Game Changer but 400 lb for Diesel & front bumper and winch with accessories doesn’t add up!

That is exactly where i am. I want MC...Rock Krawler and Evo are options....but i really want the MC. When I emailed them a few months ago they said they were working on a diesel suspension. However, when i emailed them back last week they simply said GC's are working great on diesels. When i asked for details, and said i just didnt understand the physics of that comment they did not reply. Since then crickets from them. A bit disappointed in Metalcloak.

So they're saying that their existing set up, without any provision for the extra weight, is just fine? You are right to push the BS button.

Yes, but then when i asked the didnt back it up with any detail. If they had come back with testing data or anything...besides just yup works fine... I would have been at least a bit satisfied. But they didnt, and havent since replied back to my email. And i was very nice about it, just said i didnt understand the physics of how a lift for a 375lbs lighter front end could work without changes in height and ride dynamics...and asked for more info...crickets since then.

I suspect that there simply isnt an answer they can give and they know it. But even that answer would be better than silence.

I seriously doubt the diesel adds 375lbs to the front end. Maybe 375 total over both axles and a good bit of that is the exhaust processing plant and def tank eqpt.

Found the weights. The ecodiesel is 168lbs heavier than the 3.6l. Really doesn’t warrant a special set of springs.

Not sure where you are getting that from. The curb weight of a 3.6 JLUR is 4439 LBS (edmunds). The curb weight of a 3.0 JLUR is 4863 (car and driver). Nearly all of that weight gain is engine. The diesel oem sprimgs have a 10% increased spring rate and the shocks are specific to the diesel to account for the weight.

505 diesel vs 337 3.6l. 168lbs. The rest of the weight has to with exhaust processing and DEF eqpt. What is the GVW of a gas JLU? My D is 5800. If the gasser is the same then FCA most likely used the same springs on both.
until someone actually scales both then we won’t know exactly what the weight difference is on the front axle.
I think the aftermarket suspensions folks have it right and there isn’t enough weight to matter.

I'm pretty sure I've seen different part numbers posted for diesel vs gas coils.
