I picked up my Jeep from the dealer service on Wednesday and noticed the foam EGR cover was loose in the engine bay. Had 3 techs and service writer take a look and no one was able to see how it would attach, though the molded-in bracket had scuffs from a bolt head. They weren't very helpful in offering a solution, but I pushed a little and got the "Yeah, we'll look into it and get back to you." I don't have high hopes.

Can anyone share a picture of the cover installed properly? I think I'm missing a bracket that it is supposed to mount to. I'm guessing they pulled it with the engine leak repair last year, lost the bracket, and just set it in there thinking that would be good enough. Can't believe someone thought this would be okay to send out, but they did have the Jeep for 2 months and I'm guessing the tech just wanted to get it out of his sight and/or lost parts in the interim while waiting for the backordered injector tube.

Thanks, Ken. I see where the wire support is supposed to go at least (noticed that was dangling too).

I've been poking around some this afternoon and am pretty sure some other parts are also missing and wiring looms are not secured.

This turned into a much bigger mess. Jeep has been back at the dealer for a month now and still no ETA. Looking around after my posts here I also noticed a new valve cover leak on the passenger side. Dealership has replaced the ECM again now, too. But in testing repairs the tech discovered coolant and build-up in the EGR system. Yay. Now waiting on those parts.
