THE SYSTEM WORKS GREAT. I love it

To unlock the door grab the door handle (ONLY)

To lock the door push the button (ONLY)

If you grab the handle and push the button your door will do nothing.

You have to do one or the other.

TRY IT WORKS VERY WELL.

My driver door stopped working tonight. Passenger side did too just for a bit but started working again. So driver is the only one that still doesn't work I've tried to figure out what it could be. I've tried the connections and the radio has it checked. I dubno

Can’t believe it’s optional on the higher trim levels

What do you mean I'm not sure I understand ? You mean don't use your phone and unlock the doors with the phone ?

First time, no and I immediately regretted it. Second one on order with proximity.

I got it, but I almost never lock the Jeep. It’s a soft top, and so I keep nothing of value in it.

I like the proximity implementation on my GMC better, anyway (locks automatically when you walk away).

Anyway, no regrets. It wasn’t too expensive and is there when I need it.

Is it possible the locking when walking away feature could be updated into the Uconnect?

Click on the link I provided. There is an issue where if you use the Uconnect app to unlock, or start your vehicle, it slows the reaction time when grabbing the handle. The thread says it all.

I didn't think I needed it or wanted it. Wife told me to stop being a cheap ass and get it. Glad I did. Worth every penny.

See I haven't had that issue at all. I use the remote start from Uconnect almost daily because I walk about a half mile from my office to the parking lot (and it's already freezing). Never a delay from the proximity locks, just needs a slight hesitation on the handle, maybe a hundred or two milliseconds.

Perhaps a different software version - kindof like the ORP debacle?

Can’t imagine not having this feature on any car made in the last 5 years.

I was one of the early people with the issue. I have since traded that Wrangler for another and am scared to test this feature out for fear of the same happening again. Its nice to hear that someone has, in fact, used it without issue.

I've used the Sirius Guardian app to unlock my doors and the proximity feature works flawlessly.
