Did you buy new TPMS?

When you purchased new tires and wheels, did you buy new TPMS or re-use what was already on your Jeep. Is there a preferred/recommended option?

Nope, ran without. Jeep goes into winter mode and no lights on dash or anything.

Always airing up and down in summer etc. No big deal, for the cost it wasn’t important enough for me

I bought new Mopar sensors... I didn't want to risk
buying cheap ones and having them fail. My stock sensors are in my stock wheels/tires in my shed.

The option is to just run without any TPMS XMITTERS in the wheels---

BINGO, no problems/alarms/bells/whistles and you can run the tires at any pressure you want to--not that I haven't been saying this for a year !!

Read the owners manual--it tells you how to do it !

Bought some on eBay to go in new wheels for about $55. No problems so far. The cost of new ones was less than the cost to break down all 5 wheels to remove them and then re-mount and balance the tires. Plus the new owner of my takeoff wheels got a set of OEM TPMS. Plenty of people run without them which is fine but I’d rather have them than not have them.

Sold my original set with original wheels and tires and @TTEChris from Tankcustoms hooked me up with new aftermarket ones along with new wheels and tires, had some type of an issue with the first set but it was quickly fixed by Chris and now zero issues.

Had discount tire put new ones in so I can keep my stock rims and tires hole. Make sure you negotiate them though. They will try to get as much as possible for them. Just let them know you will just order som eon eBay and bring them in and they will match the price.
