Random question here.. I picked up my 2023 Wrangler last week with the 3.6L (non-etorque) engine. I noticed the gauge cluster shows a 6000RPM redline. I was pretty sure the redline was 6700RPM or so. The peak horsepower is rated at 6400, and I remember test driving a 2.0L and 3.6L and the 3.6L was somewhere near 7000.
I've dug up some YouTube footage from older JL Wranglers with the 3.6L and the redline is definitely NOT notated at 6000 RPM. Did Jeep change the tuning on the engine recently? Did I get a 2.0L gauge cluster because of part shortages? Did they decide to cut down supply chain overhead and only offer a 6000RPM redline cluster since nobody revs their engine that high anyway?
Can anyone else with 2023's chime in?
