Question.
Did Jeep remedy the JL bubbling paint issues for the new 2023 model year?
No sense in considering an upgrade if the problem hasn't been addressed yet.
Thanks

We can't tell until they either start rusting or not in a couple years. I would guess since they haven't done it by now they're not going to bother, or wait for a refresh/new model to fix the problem in their process.

I doubt it.When and if they decide to address the known issue....I think the fix will be obvious.

I'm onboard with the others, my guess is nothing has been done. I thought they had placed a gasket on my 22, but as I look harder I don't think they have.

You would think one of our members would be a body shop worker that has disassembled a 22 door to know for sure.

I’m guessing not…probably cheaper to repair the few than demand it rather than fix the process.

it is only going to get worse. read an article from a body shop that had to send out its painters for training on using water based paint and all the prep involved with it. sounds like automotive is going the " environment safe route" with trash paint that is going to bubble and peel like a sticker. its a huge disappointment. I could be wrong and maybe they are already using the water base paint and this is why they're having the issues with it.
