One key for me as well, the dealer said they lost it and are ordering me another one. I assume there is a way they can program the new key and remove the lost one once it comes in. I have been given no ETA because it is so new they were unsure of when they would get it.

Curious to know if one of you guys gets his JL stolen, what would happen when insurance will be asking for the keys...
Not sure I’d take my JL without both keys.

Did everyone get a full owner's manual or just a small, highlights booklet? I only received a small, highlights booklet. The dealer told me the full manual is only available online.

I just checked with Jeep Customer Service and apparently, some dealers will provide a full manual and others do not. Jeep is happy to send a full manual to 1st owners at no cost.

Two keys no buttons on the base JL. Kinda funny to be that big without buttons
Kind of sucks to carry that fob around for no reason.

The manual states that if the fob battery is dead you can push the start button with the fob to start the vehicle. I wonder if you remove the battery from the fob, if it will do the same. I was thinking Sport owners could have a duplicate key made and just leave the fob hidden in the vehicle with the battery removed. This way I could just carry my spare key and use the fob to press start the ignition switch. Wonder if that would work.

Pretty sure that in terms of electricity no battery = dead battery, so it should work

Well good luck explaining your insurance what happened if your car gets stolen then...
