Considering it’s a first model year/ redesign - meaning potential bugs to be worked out- AND - I still haven’t actually seen any on the road- I find it a little presumptuous of FCA to be doing this.

They expect you to *pay* for the *privilege* of being a beta-tester...

Ha, it's funny because it's true. "Beta" is supposed to precede the formal "production" version of a product. But the plethora of issues being documented, it seems that we're closer to beta than production. I'm actually not laying into Jeep or FCA here; this sort of half-baked product launch is pretty common throughout the American manufacturers...

Ouch. I leased mine last Saturday for $299/mo, so I knew what I'd be paying going in. I didn't really even pay attention to the Monroney during the deal, but now that you mentioned it, I pulled that puppy out and, yep, $1,495 destination. That's insanity.

Yeah it’s beyond expensive! Can’t belive they charge so much for the destination fee! Subaru only charged me $895 when I custom ordered my 2018 STI Limited and that’s coming clear from Japan!

Yep I tried to pick mine up in Toledo since I'm only 150 miles South to save the charge. So, be glad they don't charge based on distance and it's an average. Sucks for us that are so close, but a good deal for you guys that are farther away.

Most car companies charge $800-$1000 and can ship cars all over the country at that cost. FCA charges $1495 for a JL. Looks like shipping is a nice profit center for FCA.

After this winter with the -25 degrees. I'd try living there in a tarp covered hut. Unfortunately that's probably too expensive. lol.
