I wanted a mount the creates a protective barrier for the housing and the USB port. Grabbed my Tazer and calipers, and after an hour in CAD, a couple of hours of test prints later, and finding things to change after each prototype. I have this for my JL made of ABS. Has a clip to keep the unit in the housing but also very easy to remove when you want to update the firmware.

If I have time, I will make a few dozen to take to NJ Jeep Invasion in July if anyone wants one. Material cost is only like $0.40 so not worried about making any money (I'll never turn down a beer though lol.). Just figured I would share with those that would like one.

Very cool man. The one complaint I have about the Taser it that it kinda just hangs there, dangling.

Very nice. They could have put a small tab on it like many relays have. I just used a well placed zip tie, but it did take me a couple tries until I was happy.

@zrickety

It has a little whatever you call it (see pic above) that holds the Tazer JL in place til you want to remove it...

Nice part about this holder is not having to redo zip ties, fool with getting it secured after you had to get the Tazer JL out for dealer visit, firmware update, etc...

For over 2 yrs. I used zip ties as you are but again.... a real game changer was when I installed this inexpensive holder.. But yup, zip ties work...

I have no problem sharing it. Just have to see if I can find the file as this was back in March and only made one for myself and @Rhinebeck01. I design one-time use stuff all the time in CAD for my 3D printers. So it's there somewhere buried with a bunch of other STLs that I made.

Would also love to get the file so I can print one. My tazer is just hanging there because i cant decide on a great way to mount it.

Meme All in good fun. lol

Couldn't find it last night, the worst-case scenario is that I can break out the calipers and redesign in. Won't take long. I will have it by Saturday, got a lot going on this week.
