We had a quick few days around Denver this week and rented a Wrangler. I was very surprised to find we had a 4xe Sahara…awesome.
It rode great and I was able to play with the different modes. It was at <1% when we got it and I tried to use regenerative braking as much as possible. We did gain about 36% going down Pikes Peak though.
I signed up for ChargePoint and tried to charge it both in Colorado Springs and Estes Park. Both times the Jeep had an error and would not charge. That was weird, but since it was a rental I didn’t worry too much about it.
Interesting thing is almost every rental Wrangler we saw was a 4xe. Everything from a Willys to a Rubicon.
I know most people will not be charging a rental, so I’m wondering how the batteries will fair after they go up for resale.
