Delays in production/delivery to Ontario, Canada

It has been 163 days since I ordered my 2 door Jeep Willys Sport with manual transmission. When I ordered they said it would be 2-3 months, then they said end of July, then my sales associate just stopped returning my bi-monthly calls. Really hard to get any information from anyone except that the finance guy who only confirmed that the order is in and accepted. I get that they aren’t in control of the parts shortage but it would just be nice to get clear information.

Apparently October 5th is when they will start accepting 2022 orders with building starting early Dec.

I haven’t got a VIN, but I guess that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. The dealer has been radio silent unless I nag them. I have kinda just given up asking.

I am in the same boat as you except I have been waiting almost 8 months.
The dealership has no info for me except it is not built yet.
Call FCA and they tell you to phone the dealer for info.
This is BS!
In the USA they get them a hell of a lot faster.

Once the vin is produced they have to build it. No vin no build scheduled etc.

The vin is the key.

It is BS. A couple months ago I saw a Ford Ranger with the off road package on the lot. I almost decided just to buy it and move on with my life. I like Jeeps, but I hate shitty companies.

Called my dealer today. They said that they have no info and there is no vin assigned.
It has been close to 8 months.
When i drive around in the GTA (greater Totonto area ) i see alot of jeeps at other dealers.
Does FCA have preferred dealers that get their jeeps before others?
Or is it just me being paranoid?

8 months and still no VIN? Holy sh*t. That’s not reassuring for my order…
