In an effort to consolidate the much of the information into one thread, I am asking insiders or anyone that has info on the engine line up for 2020.

Is it:
hybrid 4 + battery
BSG + v6
2.0 4T + BSG
3.0 6 cylinder diesel
Plain V6 - no BSG/Etorque

Information is official way before it shows up on Jeep’s website. So far, we don’t have anything definitive for the 2020 engine lineup other than the PHEV, at least one variant of the 3.6 whether ESS, BSG, or both, and the diesel seems to have very little information. Things get posted occasionally but it’s all still in testing.

Thanks for the info. It’s pretty hard to gather it form the various disparate threads that are eithe the Bikini color threads or just complaints threads on ESS. In a recent non-engine thread there was talk of whether BSG will make it to the 3.6.

If I'm not mistaken, the 3.6 BSG was initially on the 2019 order guide, but then never materialized. Same with the diesel

I've seen throughout the forum

3.6 ESS
3.6 BSG
2.0T BSG
PHEV
Diesel

Some possible steering upgrades and a few limited editions. I am no insider but I did search these forums as I am hoping to get a 2020.

I’m in the same boat. Apparently the 2019 is short run, and I am not sure whether to get an order in and avoid the potential teething pains of a BSG on the Wrangler platform.

Do it! I just pulled the trigger and ordered. Didn't want to wait any longer.

There has been ZERO official 2020 information made public at this time. Anything that's on the forums is entirely conjecture. Remember, this time last year, people were betting paychecks the 2019 would come with the 3.6 BSG...and yet....

i do believe that the 3.0 is supposed to roll out in November this year. with the 8 speed trans on it. no available 6 speed though :(. im gonna wait for the gladiator to get the 3.0 and see how it specs out. might trade my girls car for the truck and give her the JL once its fully built. but thats just a thought right now. :CWL:
