Hi

How do you change the default volume for phone call and Android auto navigation. Everytime I get phone call or use Google maps my volume always at 15. I have to lower it each time I use ether service. Is there a way to remember the last volume setting?

I asked this same question last week and no one ever answered me either. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/navigation-volume.6649/
I found that even if you change the volume to 12 the next time I use it it is defaulting back to 15. When you are hearing the lady talk or the beeps that is when you can change the volume. Also if you go to your van settings and then Guidance you should see an option there to change the volume. I have mine set at 12 but the minute I press the voice button on my steering wheel it goes right back to 15. I am waiting for JeepCares to get back to me about my issue. I will post here if there is a resolution

Adding another request for an answer...damn ringer volume about sends me through the roof every time it goes off. Why is this volume independent from the system volume/not have a memory for last used setting? I can't locate an option for this anywhere in the settings.

I am wondering if the ringer volume goes based off of your actual phone ringer volume. Not sure if the ringer being turned off on th ephone affects the volume the car is seeing or not though. I dont ever have mine turned off to know that part. That would scare the crap out of me though if it came on full blast like you guys are describing.

Nah. Good thought, but I always have my volume way down on my phone and have it on vibrate (silent) mode. The Jeep just really wants to make sure I don't miss that phone call.

You can only change the volume of the ringer while it is actually ringing. Turning the volume control knob on the radio while the phone is ringing sets the default volume.

And if your jeep is like mine no matter what happens the next time you start it the volume will be back to the default setting.

Sorry. Mine isn't like that

On a side note, I don't use the Car play where I plug my phone in the USB to use my phone. Therein lies your problem. The volume is unstable and way too loud that way. I only use the Bluetooth for phone calls.

Hi Patthe,

It may be your Speed Adjusted Volume. You can turn that off within the settings under "loudness." Let me know if that helps.

Ok, just tried this and it works so far. As everyone else has posted the default volume for CarPlay or AA navigation is 15. Iā€™ve always adjusted it using the steering controls while Iā€™m driving. This time I remained parked and starting the navigation. It was at 15 and then I used the actual volume knob on the center console to lower the volume to 10. I then turned off the car and unplugged everything to include exiting the vehicle. I went back in and started up everything again. The volume stayed at 10.

Iā€™ll update as I continue to use it throughout the day. Hope this works.

^^didnt work. Went to the gym and when I came out and tried it the volume was reset to 15. This is not just an issue for the Jeep. When I googled it other cars and systems had the same issue.

So this would be an android auto issue?
What about iPhone? Anybody here with iPhone experience the same issue?
