I ordered them back in December of 2020 I think so perhaps they no longer sell them that way.
I would've loved to have bought more off of them. Glad you were able to get some extras.

Yep. Been catching up on things since we got back from vacation. Here you go:

- I drilled two holes on each end of this Plano rifle case. Readily available at Academy. Second picture shows that the square nuts on the bottom can sit flush with the case and actually are tucked up enough to not contact whatever surface you’ve put it down on.

- Here’s a close up shot of the bolt, metal washer, rubber washer, and square nut that sandwich the case.

- Case sitting on top of rack. Once tightened down, it’s not going anywhere and you can’t get it off unless you can get inside the case. Second picture shows that the nut sits below the “floor” of the case so you don’t have to worry about interference with whatever you have inside.

Hope this helps!
Awesome! Cool idea. Do you think the Plano case is strong enough to withstand being cut open by like a knife? I heard that Plano cases tend to be lighter and flimsy compared to Apache or Pelican

It’s not bomb proof or anything but there’s no way you’d be able to cut it open with a knife or box blade. I don’t have any firsthand experience with Pelican or Apache so I can’t say for sure how it compares. It’s going to keep the people who are looking for a quick grab honest though.

The nice thing is, you can easily take them off and stow them in the Jeep if you need to. I keep all the tools with me to take them off just in case. So if I were super concerned about it, a couple of minutes and they could be locked in the back.

Installed the DeeZee roof rack on my 2022 today and at any speeds over 50, it sounds like a jet inside. I didn't install that little aluminum angle wind deflector so wondering if anyone has ran the rack with and without it and notice a noise reduction? Running a EAG rack on a 2020 and it doesn't make any wind noise like the DeeZee. Ideas?

Hello,
I recently installed the rack and thinking to go with Smittybilt RTT.
Are there any recommendation for the mounting hardware?
The ones come with the RTT does not look. ><

Thx.

I was testing something recently and took off the wind deflector and I couldn’t believe how much noise it made. The wind deflector makes a world of difference at any speed. It’s night and day.

Just spent 9 nights in the RTT with DeeZee rack. Worked out great, surprised on how little of wind noise there was, even at highway speeds. Only dropped 2-3 MPG.

Does anyone’s Deezee rack interfere with the door gasket when the rear passenger door is opened?

My rear gasket touches the clamp on the drip rail when I open or close the door. I’ve been monitoring it for long term effects: no issues after well over a year of having this rack on the top

Where above the door are you mounting the clamp? I used three of the bars and spread them out on the back portion of the top. Depending on where you place the clamp it may interfere. Just move it back until it clears.
