Dee Zee Locking Tool Box looks good.

Anyone have one of these? I like the fact that it lifts to a vertical position in order to access the floor compartment. My concern is the thickness of the aluminum. It states .56 gauge and I’m not sure how durable and how much weight it can hold. Any thoughts?

I would be interested to know as well. Been eyeing up the narrow one and considering buying it to test it out to see how it works. I need access to the rear seat latch points for car seats and this looks like it allows it. I like the idea of open easy access to the rear and partial secured area and easy access to the floor storage.

I went for it and I like it a lot. Install was quick and easy. Undo a few bolts and it sits right in. Is it as strong as steel? No. Is it strong enough to serve my purpose? Yes. My kids sat on it and it was fine as the lid is reinforced. It came with a small bend in the lip of the lid due to shipping, but otherwise it’s fine. Works for me!

It’s holding up fine. The only issue is that I have a soft top and accessing it can be tricky if I don’t detach the bottom of the vinyl window. Other that that, it’s solid enough for what I throw in there and easy enough to take out if you need the space.
