When I was in FL and replaced my shocks with the FOX 2.0 IFPs I was very happy. The jeep drove noticable better.
Then I flat towed it all the way back to tombstone. Since then something has just not been right. It's twitchy and is not taking small bumps at 55,60 like it was, more bouncy over small bumps. Hard to describe.
Anyway there is one car shop here in tombstone and the guy is really nice. We talked today and because we're in tombstone, and Arizona in general he has worked on a lot of wranglers. Lol. There a lot of jeeps here.
So we jacked it up after I got off today and he immediately noticed the front upper control arm bushing are trashed. They move front to back almost a half inch. Also the front track bar has some movement, not horrible, but it has some wear. And we confirmed the ball joints are fine.
Of course I crawled under there with him and he showed me what was going on.
Now, do I get just the upper control arms, and if I do, which ones.
Or do I just get a complete lift. The other good thing is his labor is a lot less than any other place I checked, and he will work with me if it takes less time.
And I can't do the lift myself here in the RV park.
Decision's. Shopping time.
