December Anza Camping Trip

Just gauging interest for a December camping trip out to Anza this year. Would probably take the same route as the 2023 forum trip where we started down by the mud caves, up to Diablo dropoff, then over to Fish Creek and Sandstone Canyon. Then find some spot in the wash to camp for the night.

I'm thinking maybe second or third weekend in December.

Yeah two days. I think I'd drive down super early on Saturday morning, camp Saturday night then head back on Sunday.

Not closely following your plans but OnX Offorad has a couple Anza Borrego routes and videos that might give some suggestions for campsites and things to see down there.

Well everything is kind of up in the air now as I'm dealing with some steering issues I have to get worked out.

That's a bummer!
We're camping in Lucerne Valley all week and going to Cougar Buttes today. We might be hitting Bullfrog but those guys are way more advanced than me so I may choose to be a spectator on the rougher stuff.

Well I'm out for Anza as my Jeep is going to be down for a while. If anyone else wants to take over this trip and plan it I can send the GPX file over.
