I agree with you. It is such a dirty move. The sad part is that when I first approach them about inquire the Jeep, the salesman seems so nice, respectful, and trustworthy; coming from a California dealership (that means a lot). So I put my faith in them, but they let me down. I somewhat believe that it is a mistake, whoever sold it must have not realized that there was a deposit on it. But instead of owning up to their mistake, they are lying through their teeth and covering it up like it is no big deal.Absolutely do not re-order through that dealer. That's a sucker move. They sold your order on you and made a few quick extra bucks, at the expense of a waiting customer. To hell with them, they made it clear that they're just money grabbers and don't see any value in treating customers fairly. There will be more of that crap where that came from. Pretend they don't exist.
I'm sorry if it's inconvenient for you, I'm sure it sucks. But it would be really dumb to continue doing business with them.
