That will require repairing and the complete hood repainted.
Not really, looks like the paint transfer will buff out and a simple dentless repair will take care of the dent. About an hours worth of effort at most.

It was a tire shop, not a dealer many moons ago, my first pick up, I had custom painted, then less than a year later, while washing it, I found a bolt in on of the tires. I quickly finished washing it and went straight to the tire shop, they got it in fixed it, and when I went to get in it, there was a 2 inch long, Deep scratch in the side of the bed. It still had fresh paint chips along the edge of the scratch and under it, they said that they didn’t do it, and wouldn’t accept responsibility for it, there was no doubt in my mind, where it happened, but they wouldn’t own it, so I have been a Les Schwab customer ever since, and have spent tens of thousands of dollars there, in the last 38 or so years.

Win for Schwab, loss for Big O Tires. And for me, Les Schwab is All Over the West, and their customer service is exemplary

I am guessing you go to Schwab in Sandy? Those guys are pretty good. Not so much in Gresham.

Gresham was my original “Home Store” back then. After I moved to the Mountain the first time, it was Sandy, It was Gratteri’s Les Schwab in Forest Grove, OR from 09-16, and now, living on the mountain again it is Sandy again, we don’t plan on ever moving again, if we can help it.

I live Schwab for Tires and Wheels, rarely the absolute cheapest, but they are EVERYWHERE, and their customer is what other businesses should use as the Gold Standard.

I haven’t heard anyone comment one way or the other, about Schwab doing lifts. I don’t use them for brakes though they won’t turn drums or rotors, just insist on replacing them, that isn’t always necessary.

30 years ago, give or take, I had some bad batteries from them. I have heard that they changed vendors, don’t know, I don’t know who they used before, or since, and I haven’t bought any batteries from them since.

Our Honda dealer used to turn rotors as needed during particular jobs; we've had it done for one of our prior vehicles. They no longer provide the service. The trend pivoted toward customers just wanting new rotors in lieu of spending less to get more mileage (literally) from the quality OEM originals.

I can see both sides here, even if I'm less likely than most to reflexively aim the parts cannon at a particular maintenance or repair task.

Oh that's some bullshit right there. It'd be hard not to have a come apart.
What good is that going to do? It's just stuff.
I agree, if you "come apart" in the dealership then you get asked to leave. If you don't leave then you get taken out by the police. If you assault somebody, you go to jail.

Many years ago my dad took a car in for service and got it back with less fuel which he found odd. Neighbor took his car in to the same shop and the car was involved in an accident with one of the techs driving on the other side of town. He was taking customer cars on drug deals and would not have gotten caught at the time if there wasn’t an accident. Pretty sure the dealer replaced our neighbors car.

As a result I take a good look over my car when it goes in anywhere and I keep track of the mileage and usually reset trip meter B then return the menu to A and pick a different screen to hide the reset trip meter

This isn't new at any mfg or dealership, especially now days. I always take pictures and I let them know I took pictures.

I guess I am missing something though. I will have to double check myself now. My hood is plastic, I am pretty sure.

Do other trims, Rubicon etc. come with aluminum hoods?

Y’all kill me. It’s a Southern expression, I’m not 6.
