I've created a little spreadsheet with my interpretation of ~45 pages of posts. I'll try to keep it updated.

If they honor the affiliate discount then you might be able to get an additional 1% off.

I would recommend calling the candidate dealership(s) and telling them that you found out about their below-invoice pricing through JL Wrangler Forums.

I've removed the price protection column from the spreadsheet since Chapman (just PA?) seems to be the only dealership having difficulty stating that they honor it. Moved that highlighted detail into their comment column.

more expensive units are getting the components which are in short supply - ie basic sports etc are at the back of the queue i think - 392, Rubicons etc at front of queue subject to unusual builds with low supply parts
That is not an accurate statement unless you have documented information stating it.

Lots of people guess as to the factors as to why something gets built, but it all comes down to 3 things: parts availability, location of where it’s going and dealer allocations. Where your build falls on those three items will determine when it’s built.

Do some dealerships get their orders faster than other dealerships or is it strictly based on the order at which the builds are turned in?
The location of the dealer you order from can make a difference too. Shipping schedules are probably respondsible for the majority of delays once Wraglers are built. Shipping can add a lot of time depending on where the selling dealer is. Generally speaking dealers who are closer to Toledo get vehicles shipped by truck. That usually means their shipments take less time. Dealers farther might get shipments via rail and truck which take longer. Then there are dealers in areas that get fewer vehicles or Wranglers. Those dealers might need to wait longer for shipments because no matter where a Wrangler goes, every spot on the truck or rail car/train has to be filled before they release the truck or train. That means a single empty spot on a truck can cause that truck full of Wranglers to wait for the last spot to be filled before that truck leaves.

This was sent to someone I gave contact info to for the 10% off deal at Chapman. He called after getting the email below because he was wanting the 10% off MSRP deal and they told him they changed the deal this morning to 3% under invoice. The PA doc fee appears to have increased from $394 to $422 as well.

If you are going the 392 route then Dan Cummins is your best bet. They are 3.5% under invoice on the 392 with a $599 fee but they offer price protection unlike Chapman.
If you are going with the non 392 Rubicon then Gupton is at 7% with financing and 6% without.
Gupton was at invoice on the 392 when I checked last week. I ended up placing my 392 order with Chapman 2 days ago. So about 36 hrs before they did away with the 10% off MSRP deal which saves me $1200 over the 3% under invoice deal. I got my VIN today so now the dreadful wait begins.

Thanks, going 4Xe Rubicon. Put out a request to Gupton earlier, may workout better in the end since they’re doing affiliate.

Same here.... I was excited about the 5% under invoice since they are local to me and juts a few miles down the road. I asked them about the Willys XR on an email a couple of days ago an in their response they told ma about the 5% to 3% chnage , which really got me depressed. Gonna have to start over and re-build the excitement, but I look forward to work with them as they have been good with comms and I like the idea of a straight, by the numbers deal. I hate dickering prices on vehicles...

The one thing nagging me is the dreaded steering issue I have been reading about but it seems it has been resolved....

Note that FCA sent out a notice about price protection. Chapman (just PA?) seems to be the only dealership that might not honor it.

I’m new here and looking to buy my first Wrangler. I have access to the 1% friends and family discount, but the discounts on this spreadsheet seem way better. Can anyone qualify for those? Thanks for putting this together, by the way.

First - welcome to the forum. Yes. Eligible to all 👍🏻 Here is a thread with a couple folks from AR ordered from Gupton. You could message them possibly to gain further input since you are from same state.
