Dealer Service Plan - Good or Bad Idea?

So I bought the platinum dealer mechanical service plan for 7 years. I know bumper to bumper is for the first 3. It covers a lot but also excludes a good bit (mostly the normal wear type stuff). I'm thinking about cashing it in - I should get about $3K back.

Anyone think getting a service package is a good or bad idea? i like the "safety" of it, but they wouldn't push it so hard if they didn't make money on it.

If get the $ back, I'd buy a soft top for the summer months - immediate gratification - lol.

I would say as much of a good idea as gambling in Vegas. Sometimes you’ll get a bloke who makes out in the end, but the house almost always wins.

Get your money back, you got hosed. I don't buy them but If you still want one shop around.

Cancel it and get a FCA backed plan for cheaper.

Alot of guys use Tom, but after shopping around I found Clay actually has the lowest prices
