Take a look at the image below - My son is trading in our 2009 Sport we gave to him in High School for the same current model. We found an excellent replacement here in Taylor Texas at a local dealer but the National site's incentive (Employee pricing for all) is approximately $1500 cheaper than the Dealers price. When we contacted Jeep they stated that local Dealers can chose to opt out of advertised incentives.
When we spoke with our Salesman on the difference he stated that the National site's pricing was simply a method to drive customers to shop local inventory #Fake$$$ We are scheduled to close the deal later this week and wanted some advice on the matter....Thanks al

Seems crazy to me. You should at least be getting the advertised incentives off. Are there no other Jeep dealers in reasonable proximity?

I see this is a 2 door so be aware they lease much worse than an equivalent 4 door if that's of any interest to you or your son.

First, the online calculator doesn't incorporate sales tax into the lease so that is the first area of discrepancy.
Second, its possible the online calculator assumes a MF (interest rate) on the lease that you do not qualify for. FCA is very cryptic with them (just check the edmunds forums) so its possible based on credit you do not get tier 1 or the dealer is marking yours up. Ask them what the MF is and cross check with edmunds residuals forum for the 2 door wrangler.
Third, this deal is absolutely atrocious. At 48 months your net payment is $455 a month.

You need to negotiate the lease without the trade involved. Focus on getting the best lease deal possible and then discuss the trade or sell it somewhere else. In the end you want them to cut you a check separately from the lease transaction and then if you wish to just use it as a down payment. Sounds like this dealer is shady, not willing to offer national incentives means they are ready and willing to rip you off. Shop elsewhere.

Most businesses with non-franchised sales points don't have much control over prices. When they put national commercials out they put in real tiny print "At participating dealers". That's why some car dealers sell limited edition vehicles way above MSRP hence the S.
