I am ordering a 2021 Rubicon unlimited. the MSRP is $49940.

Dealer says if I order today I can get invoice pricing for $47,432..

I asked what the tread lightly affiliate discount would be, and he's going to get back to me.. I don't have it yet, but will gladly pay the $100 to get more off. I just need 30 days to pass before I take delivery ..

Is this a deal? Anyone have a "high volume" dealer I can use to get a better price?

Do you think 2022 Rubicon's will have any major option changes that I will wish I had, or will ordering now save me a ever increasing price hike?

Hard to tell without seeing what options you are considering. There is a pricing calculator in the ordering forum that lets you punch in exactly what you are looking @ so you can see the pricing at various discount levels.

My fully loaded rubicon was 56,xxx.xx and I paid 49,xxx.xx for it out the door. The best deals you could have gotten are around 7-10% under invoice. Now that being said, due to “shortages” those deals are very hard to find so I would be happy to get anything under invoice right now.

The only options I have are;

8 speed auto with V6
gorilla glass $95
Tow package $795
Trail rack system $195

I'm wondering if I shouldn't expect as much of msrp because I don't have a lot of options that are overly marked up?

So XR isn't required on 21 Rubicons anymore?

5% is what that discount is. I'd say that is a deal right now. 2022s ain't gonna be any cheaper that's for sure. Go for it.

Yea not a bad deal at all. Especially right now. Very limited inventory and not a great deal on the way.

5% off MSRP, not Invoice.

Several dealerships are doing 5-8% off INVOICE.

Chapman in PA and Gupton in TN for sure.

Not sure what Koons / Tricity / Criswell are doing currently, but they were 5-7% off INVOICE for a while.

Invoice pricing is okay, but you can find better. Your locale may not be the best for pricing, the deals may be a plane ride away.
AR (Affiliate Rewards) will get you another 1% off. Strange that the salesman didn't know that. AR also mandates that the dealer must show you the POC. So it doesn't matter what options you have like others are telling you. Invoice pricing takes those options into account.
Good luck to you.

I'm going to try those two dealerships, I live in Minnesota but am willing to travel.

Otherwise I'm going to wait till spring '22 ... The recession has to start sometime, eventually there will be factory rebates on new cars again and a flood of used jeeps for sale ..

The chip shortage can only last soooo long .. .. I don't see them doing shutdowns again,..
