Has anyone seen this error before?

Not sure what happened, but ever since I drove in 4L mode last night and parked in my garage back to 2h mode. It makes this weird transfer case noise along with the above warning when in reverse or drive mode under 2h.

My guess is its auto locking but why ????. All the doors were closed, and the seat belt was on. Planning to tow it to the dealership tomorrow but wanted to see if anyone else experienced this.

Thanks,
CJ

It looks like the dash thinks it's in 2H, but sounds like it's not engaged all the way. Have you tried pulling the t-case back into 4H, then back to 2H.

I tried it again and interesting enough it only allows me to go back to 4L (at which point autopark gets disabled default) but going into any other mode (2h or 4h) it makes that transfer case noise with that dash warning. Wondering if its ok to drive in the 4L mode to the dealership under normal conditions.

will it move in any mode ( 2H 4H or 4L ) ?
You could do it. it will bind up pretty bad. Not recommended. It sounding like the shifter is out of adjustment on the t-case.

Yes, I can drive forward or reverse in only 4L mode.

ok, for sure the shifter lost adjustment.
To cover yourself, I would call dealer service first. Tell them you only have 4L working. Drive or flat bed tow? Have them make the call. I have never had any problems driving in 4X4 mode on street, that's not to say you will not either.

Good point. I’ll give them a call first. Thanks for the advice.

Just curious if you ever got this resolved/what the root cause was.
