Is the dealer letting you drive your jeep? Mine told me they can't adjust the preprogrammed odometer. So my jeep is grounded until the cluster arrives.
Yes. I am still driving my Jeep. I'm glad too! Last night I returned to training in BJJ. My coach is also a close friend and he teaches at two different gyms. I went to both and drove us both around. Now he wants a jeep!

Hmmm... Can your dealer adjust the odometer? Otherwise your mileage won't be accurate when they install the new cluster.

I don't know. Here's the thing. I buy jeeps and then keep them for about 15 years. Each one has been in progressively better shape. By the time I was done with my first I sold it for only $500 to a jeepster dude who wanted parts. It was a mess. My last one only went for $2000. It was not as bad but still kind of beat on. Now this one I plan on taking great care of. I'm much older, less wild, and have resources. Odds are good I'll keep this one running forever and won't get rid of it. So I'm not too worried about the odometer being slightly off. I've less than 2K miles on it now.

Gotcha... I plan on keeping mine for a long time as well. I just don't like the idea of paying 40k for a new vehicle and the mileage isn't right. Ha. Enjoy your jeep!

This morning at -11F we had the dash cluster reboot every 30 seconds for about 15 minutes of driving.

Did getting a replacement dash cluster take care of the issue, or is the dash just not built for "cold"? (Sorry I don't consider -11F all that cold.)

Hi Lydia-

My dealer called me today and said the estimated date to receive the new cluster for my jeep is April 5th!!!! The vehicle has to be grounded until then.

Is there anything you can do to assist? I picked it up December 12th and it's been with the dealer since December 19th. This seems beyond unacceptable.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Still no word from my dealer. The constant crashing is becoming something I've just accepted. I'm not happy about it but at least I still have my vehicle.

On the plus side I'm becoming very proficient at estimating my speed since my gauges don't work. ;)

Hi,

My new 2019 JLU Sport S is having these same issues. I have not yet gone to the dealership. It started happening shortly after having its first car wash and the temperature dropping here in Cincinnati, so not sure which may have caused it or not. What is the best way to explain the issue so that the service desk at the dealership knows what's going on and can quickly take care of it? This Jeep has under 500 miles, or at least that is what it says...

Thanks

Most states' lemon laws would get you a whole new vehicle for that delay.

For example, Colorado's states:

It also applies when the vehicle is out of service for repairs for a cumulative total of thirty (30) or more business days during the warranty term or one year after original delivery, whichever comes first.
You appear to be in Michigan, and their law also states:

The vehicle is out of service because of repairs for a total of 30 or more days or parts of days during the term of the manufacturer's express warranty or within one year from the date of delivery to the original consumer, whichever comes first. This option does not require the same problem to be the cause of the days out of service.

Hi J SLN,
We're sorry that you are experiencing this as well. We rely heavily on the dealers diagnosis so they will need to perform a full inspection in order to find the cause of this concern. Please send us a private message if you would like additional assistance while your Jeep is at the dealer. I am happy to have a case escalated in your behalf.

Just throwing this out there - it seems in this thread that more than one type of dash is affected (base sport vs sahara & rubicon) and there seems to be a correlation between a wash and then cold. I'm wondering if the issue is in a sending unit, power supply, or connection and not the dash itself. Something that is common to both dashes and located in an are more prone to water intrusion. Just my thoughts.

This same exact thing just started happening this weekend on my 2019 Sahara. Appears to only happen when it's below 20 degrees out. I took it to the dealer and they hooked it up and could not find one thing wrong with it. They said they have never seen this before.
