Thought I would share and show a few pictures of the recently release DANA 35 Advantek Heavy Duty Differential Cover.

Received mine directly dropped shipped from Spicer/Dana about a week ago. Includes the mount bolts with pre applied locktite and a tube of gray RTV. Installed it on my Sport S and decided to reuse the factory formed gasket that so far has been drip free. I did not have access to a published torque spec on the bolts but finally installed them at 27 ft-lbs. Tried 30 ft-lbs but it felt like the bolts were going to stretch and break, so the back off to 27 ft-lbs for final install.

Refilled to the low pinion hole with approximately 1.6 quarts of a full synthetic 75W-90 gear oil. I do not think any additional capacity is gained with this cover.

I ordered a set for my DANA44 on my rubicon today as I hit my front diff cover over the weekend and the stock lower bolt doesn't look very good, did you use any sealant or just the gasket?

Just reused the gasket. So far, no issues.

Why do they have 2 fill ports?? which one do you fill to? Curious. Also is there a drain port on the bottom of the housing, my wife's Sahara is on order.

I just changed the gear oil this weekend in her Overland, nice having drain plugs instead of having to remove the covers, PITA on my WJ and Durango.

Yes there are drain holes on the housings front and rear. Very nice touch.

I also love that they ditched the rubber fill hole plugs, and switched to actual threaded plugs.
