Damn that's Cold! Windshield washer line (I suspect) burst

On Wednesday afternoon, when the storm came across it was like something out of that movie "The Day After Tomorrow". It dropped from 47 to 14 degrees in a 10 minute span. Check out this video, you see it at the 20 second mark.

This was yesterday, when I drove one of my daughters to school in my eco-diesel which by the way was up to operating temp in 12 minutes of warm up in an unheated garage.
Quite impressed with how it’s handled the cold snap. My Ram 3500 Cummins doesn’t get to full operating temp even after 15 minutes of driving at these temps. Both fully winterfronted directly against the rads.
No oil temperature spikes here at the moment with the eco-diesel

I don't know what the windchill was but we got -36 at my house. The temp in town was -26 with a -54 windchill. It's usually more windy at my house than in town so I'm sure it was probably -60 windchill. It makes me so happy that I have a garage to park in.

The cold front came through about an hour ago. The temp has dropped 25 degrees in the past 4 hours. It is 25 degrees with a wind chill of -3. The wind has picked up again and it’s blowing pretty hard. Last night the wind was very strong. I went to check the beach house today and the ocean was up to the wall in the back yard. Everything checked out ok. We aren’t getting much compared to some of you guys. Stay safe everyone.

60 miles north of St Louis is in IL. I grew up 70 miles north of St Louis in Jacksonville IL.

My old JK has been through some cold before, but nothing like this. In Northern Colorado, we hit -18 over the past 24 hours. Went out this morning to take my trash out and saw that a windshield washer line (I suspect) burst. Looks like I know what my next repair project is.... Damn that's cold!

Hope you all are staying warm, in my experience being properly clothed in sub temperatures makes a huge difference in comfort but for areas experiencing -XX only once every few decades stocking Arctic clothing is not really reasonable.
