Hey all, I have a rubicon jl 2021 2.0L all parts are new except 2 inc mopar lift kit, with 2400 miles and I have “a little problem “ 😅😭
A few days ago, I was on a dunes trip.
I failed the first dune and I reversed.
Suddenly, I heard a noise like something is knocking(on the reverse).
I looked under the Jeep and saw that my front drive-shaft is broken.
I finished the trip and drove home for a more accurate check.
I saw that my upper control arms are curved (I know that it came with a bit of angle but now it is almost 90 degrees).
I didn’t feel any hit !!
I am pretty sure that my front axis is curved too.
Does it make sense that such damage can be done although we didn't hear a knock?

14/15 psi

the rubicon is all original parts except 2 inch mopar litf kit
I think @Arterius2 was asking how much "air" was between your tires and the ground when you might've left Mother Earth.

Ohh i didn't even jump !
I think you need to post pics of the failed parts. With a broken front drive shaft and bent uppers, that sounds like your front end took a decent hit. Generally, the lower arms are the first to bend since they support the vast majority of weight and forces on the axle.

Nice carnage!! Those uppers are bent to hell!!

Obviously it's hard to tell from the pics if your front axle is bent, you'd need to measure and check with a straight edge. In addition to needing new uppers, I would get new front LCA's too. I wouldn't be surprised it they were tweaked some too.

I'd suggest going with aftermarket CA's to alleviate bent arms. It would also be a good time to go with an aftermarket 1350 front CV drive shaft.

Ohhh ok sorry for that assumption, because I thought in the dunes, there is nothing around to bend your drive shaft and axles except for your own body weight.
yes all the front was damaged

do you think that it is normal for a new car ?

do you think that is normal and can happen like that to a new jeep?

Judging by the broken shock seals. I would say you bottomed out pretty hard.

Which means you did land from a certain height. Whether you jumped or not I don't know.
But I do know that there are a lot of opportunities to land pretty hard when you are playing around in the dunes, and these Jeeps are not designed to be jumped like Raptors.
