Nice rig. I am not far behind you....1300miles
Curious about your shock choice. The 4.5-6 lift shock shock is 18.34” compressed and 30.51 extended. Do you know the length at rest? I am about to do the High Line fenders and am trying to figure out shock length.
FYI I did the Mishimotor catch can and no smoke.

Thanks man.....shocks are freakin awesome..... the front is 24 and rear is 25 at ride height on level surface. I’ve got about 5” of shaft showing. But that will depend on your spring height. I have 3.5” springs and have about 5” up travel. If I had 4.5” springs then it would be about an inch more. So if you have 2.5” springs you’ll likely have less than 4”’up travel which may not be enough depending on how you wheel. But these shocks pair really good with my RK triple rate springs. At full extension which is more like 31” , I still can’t move the spring in the housing.

Good deal. I am at 2.5” RK w/35’s as step one but planning step 2 at 3.5 or 4.5” RK Lift.
I have the AAL lights on order and want to high line fenders and see how high I can tuck the tire in there. Installing air bumps at the same time.
This week it is getting Artec truss F/R/C, RCV fronts and Dynatrac ball joints.
Looking for a solid road/trail ride capable of the tough stuff.

We’ve only had our Trektop Ultra on for a few weeks, but we are really loving it so far. We went with the ultra because it folds all the way down like the factory soft top does. I think the safari mode is my favorite......:)

Awesome build!

Is that the Besttop is different configurations?

I had the factory premium on my last JL but I like the look of the Besttop better. Safe to assume you would recommend it?

Thanks man!...... yes it is the Bestop Trektop Ultra. And yes the pics are the sunrider position, all the way open and safari positions. I really like that there’s no zippers, uses a plastic retainer, channel system. I would definitely recommend this top. This guy helped me install it........

Installed my Mishimoto oil catch can today. It’s a pretty easy install. This one appealed to me because of the drain hose with shutoff valve. I didn’t want unscrew the canister, I’m way to clumsy, I could see the handwriting on the wall with that scenario, oil spilled everywhere............

My Artec inner fender wouldn’t let me attach the drain hose where they wanted it. So I decided to just leave it loose and I tied it up with a Velcro strap for now, and I can just unhook it drop it down when I need to empty it........:).

I didn’t install it for the increased horsepower and improved gas mileage.....:giggle:....... more for when we’re on an inclined obstacle to long and avoid this.......

Just finished my relay/isolator so my winch can’t be turned on without first pushing aux switch #1 .

Thanks man..... it’s a preemptive measure for me, my quadratec winch has a recall for some of them can turn on out of the blue. Mine hasn’t give me any trouble, but I just wanted to be safe.
