This thread should probably be moved to the : ISSUES, REPAIRS, WARRANTY, TSB, RECALLS sub-forum.

I'm sure there are many others with this issue.
I'd be willing to bet they all do it, just not everyone has noticed

If the variance was constant, I could almost live with it but the problem is that it's quite intermittent. On one stretch of the highway, it alternated between being in sync and out of sync 3 times.

I see the same discrepancy between the digital read and the analog meter. However, the cruise control seems to be spot on with my gps. Thaā€™s all I car.

I got Jeep's Official response today when I picked up my Jeep from service. It is normal and does not require any repair work.

@JeepCares is there anything specific to tell the dealer service dept regarding this issue? I haven't initiated anything on mine because it's intermittent and I know I won't be able to replicate it for them.
Hi JeepDad33,

Unfortunately, it is challenging for the dealer to pinpoint what is wrong if they are unable to duplicate the issue. In the meantime, we can document your concerns in our systems until you are able to replicate it for your dealer. Please send us your VIN, mileage, and any other details that you would like documented.

To be fair we are all posting pictures of the issue as it happens. Anyone who drives our vehicle will have it happen when they are over 50 MPH. Seems like you should have plenty to go on.

Like it's normal and live with it or they have a fix that is really easy?

@JeepCares is that Jeeps official stance? Itā€™s common for speedometers to be inaccurate?
Haha! That's pretty funny.

You would think that the digital and analog speedometers both get their speed readings from the same sensor.

I can just imagine the 2019 manual under the instrumentation section :
The speedometer will display a suggestion as to how fast your vehicle is traveling. Please refer to the digital display in the instrumentation cluster for an accurate reading.

Why wait until the 2019 owner's manual? They just took down the 3rd edition Rev 2 version and replaced it with the 2nd edition Rev 4 version on the Mopar website, because FCA reasons!

I'm not going to order a hardcopy until they come out with -7th Edition Rev 3.14. :captain:

My analog was +2 for 4500 miles until I noticed this week that it is now spot on with digital and gps. Weird.
