To develop a better understanding of what's being built each month we need to know what VINs were created each month. @dahacker did a statistical analysis and came up with these approximates for the early months. We're building on his concept so we can generate build reports by week and month that somewhat accurately reflect reality.

MonthStarting Sequence NumberEnding Sequence Number
October 2021100778 (10/08)112400 (10/30)
November 2021112401 (derived from 10/30)125125 (11/30)
December 2021125126 (derived from 11/30)154584 (12/27 - need 12/31-ish)
January 2022158085 (1/03 - need 1/01-ish)188796 (1/31)
February 2022188828 (2/01)212112 (2/28)
March 2022213805 (3/01)236374 (derived from 4/01)
April 2022236375 (4/01)264395 (04/29 need 04/30)
May 2022266154 (05/02 need 05/01)278283 (05/31)
June 2022278295 (06/01)281162 (last '22 sequence detected)
June 2022500085510667 (6/29)
July 2022515855 (07/05 - need 7/01)529349 (derived from 8/03)
August 2022529350 (8/03)?????

I've received sequence numbers (the last 6 digits of your VIN) from a few people and have plugged those in where appropriate.

If the date that you received your VIN is on or near the start day or end day of a month and it's more accurate than what's in this table then please post here with your VIN's sequence number and that date.

If you're wondering why we'd want this data then see this topic.

I think we don't want the date the VIN received, but the "Date Ordered" as specified on the Priced Order Confirmation (POC) that you should have already received from your Dealer.

That way it will eliminate the situations where your salesperson said they ordered, but didn't until a few or many days later.

And if you don't already have your POC with the VIN printed on it, then that is probably a problem you need to resolve with your dealer ASAP.

Thanks, I've updated the instructions based on your advice.

Thanks for your replies, but we only need sequence numbers for POCs with a "Date Ordered" that's on the first or last of the month. The days around New Years, of course, might be a bit sketchy.
