Telling you....the checks have nothing to do with this.
I’m in no way disagreeing with you, but I will say that from the reading I’ve done last few days on theses forums and a few others....does seem that this noise is caused by different factors. One being what you have mentioned with the inner door beam. But some have resolved it themselves whether unbolting and rebolting the door check(s) I’ve even had a few guys PM that I contacted in which they had success with having there door checks replaced.

One guy even mentioned to me today his dealer had a shop fix the “unglued” area some how and didn’t need to replace the doors after being told it was the only option he had left.

It’s crazy so many of us have this issue and so many are different causes and different fixes. Who knows what mine is ‍ But I’m definitely not interested in this door replacement, just too many having issues with paint matching and then it’s a whole other can of worms that gets opened to try and solve a simple clicking noise! ..... but yes I think we can all agree an annoying one at that!

They worked on my check links and replaced them. There was a time early on where the noise was somewhat intermittent. Eventually it got to were it was a constant crackle/pop every time the doors were opened.

The real problem is, if you choose to ignore it and the vehicle goes out of warranty, what will you do if it continues to separate or gets worse.

I wish I could’ve seen inside or gotten to put eyes on the actual issue.

Yea I hear you..... I’m only 4 months in so I have 4 years of warranty to play with if I choose to ignore it. My first step will be to have the door check replaced and see If im one of the lucky ones where that fixes the problem. If it doesn’t and gets worse over the next year or so I’ll go from there.

I just hope sometime sooner than later a fix besides replacing the door is discovered.

I’ve even went as far as to look up other brands and kinda just type in car door makes a clicking sound...and many other cars/vehicles/trucks have had the same clicking noise due to the door check over the years and most of them just need the bolts tightened. Too bad it isn’t that simple for us jeepers to resolve the same noise

Do yll not understand that the entire sub frame inside the door has become detached from the door skin itself ? Thats like saying replacing the spark plug will fix a blown piston. Sorry to burst your hope bubble but the door issue is more serious and so much more complicated than you think. Remember it starts with one door then another and another

I don’t think people are reporting this happening on the later model jeeps. Everyone I’ve heard from was an ‘18 or maybe an early ‘19.

Took mine in for this issue. Dealer had for 5 days and gave it back with “lubed hinges”. It did absolutely nothing to fix the issue.

Both batteries also managed to fail at the same exact time. No cause given.

Pretty crappy.

I replaced my door check myself and did nothing to resolve the issue. 1500 miles on my 2020 and I’m starting to hate this thing!! What’s strange is after I was the Jeep it stops for a while then comes back.
