Mine still just a creaking away lol. I’d also place a large wager that the design of the door stop, and the manner in with they can apply force to a section of inner door held to the aluminum skin with adhesive. Door check apples pressure when door is pushed open all the way, in turn causing the section to lose adhesion to the aluminum skin. This we have a creak.
Advice to new JL owners: ditch the door check or be very careful opening your Doors, not pushing them too far to where they will put excess pressure on the check.
I could also be 100% wrong haha. Most
Simple answer usually correct one though.
I’m not letting a dealership trying and replace my door with a color matched one lol. My nerves would never survive it!
Creak on, brethren. Creak on. 👊🏼

Just joined the creak squad fml. How were peoples experiences with the color matched door? It seems concerning and I definitely don’t want to end up worse off than now...

My 2021 JLUR, built August 19, purchased September 19, just started to creak on the passenger front door two days ago. Noticed it on the trail on Friday and it’s been there ever since.
Doors never off.
Dry, hot climate.
5,100 miles on odo

So just went out and disconnected my door checks and pushed them into my door. I wish I did this a while ago lol. This makes the noise go away completely and one less step to take the doors off. A win win for me. Not sure why this solution is not mentioned more.

I applied Flex Seal using a syringe in the seams where there were apparent separation from the beam. I also applied it in crevices where I suspect my clicking was coming from.
I chose Flex Seal because it can get into crevices and it becomes rubber once it cures (usually 48 hours). I'll be installing the door today -- will let you know how it goes.

Ugh, sadly the clicking when opening/closing is still there after the attempted repair.
What I did find out tho is that the noise is coming from the area(s) shown with pink arrows in the photo below:

These areas aren't easily accessible -- close to impossible.

I was able to adhere/secure the door sheet metal to the beam, however. If I push on the sheet metal, there's no longer any movement or flapping --- which I thought where the noise was coming from.

I used to get about 5 clicking noise when opening/closing the door... now I only get 2 clicks. So I'll still take that as a win LOL

Hi jdhunt0,
We're sorry to hear that you are also experiencing this. When you do decide to address this with your dealer, please feel free to send our team a private message!

I have the same problem with the drivers door and I am planning on taking it to the dealer in Tucson and have them repair/replace the doors. The Jeep only has 12400 miles, Jeep needs to address this problem as there appears to be a multitude of complaints. For the kind of money people are paying for the Jeep Wrangler JL,s we expect better quality and assembly .

Definitely keep us posted. I'm curious to see what you find and if it's an easy fix. Something tells me both the dealerships and Jeep have no idea what it is or how to fix it so they just keep coming up with excuses and replacing our doors, so it will be nice to see what an owners findings are.

Please let me know what you find that is causing the noise inside your door, I have the same problem.

On my Jeep JL it turned out to be the driver door upper lip seal (3/8" ) the secondary seal , I used GM Super Lube 10-4057 12371287 on the thin outer seal and wala the squeak went away. You can use 3 in 1 oil aswell and that also worked.
