Cracked Windshield Club

We were moving at 40mph when the high winds dropped a Los Angeles city light pole on us. No warning, we never saw it coming. Just a loud crash as it hit the hood and windshield then rolled over the top.

my question is, do we qualify for the cracked windshield club?

Geez….you definitely qualify. We too had high winds this week…I actually got a bullseye chip from oncoming traffic for lanes over. Glad you are ok…could have been far worse….

Damn-well it's good you're okay and no you cannot be part of the cracked glass club, because being an over achiever is not welcomed unless the pitch says 38 degrees. LOL I just hope LA pays you well-for windscreen, hood, and underwear.

Honestly though - sorry for your loss, a few more feet down the highway and it would have been on top of the two of you, even with the roll bar that would have been much worse

Heard a pop this morning (temp about 50) and saw the left--longer-- crack. It grew two more inches during the day. No sign of impact. About ten minutes after the first, heard and saw the second. Has the star pattern and signs of impact. After 5200 miles and 22 months of driving, I seem to be in the club.

At least there aren't tank columns and there isn't artillery falling. Could be much worse as I think about it.
