Hey everyone,

I just bought a new JL and a Mopar 2” lift. I want tot run 35’s but I’m not sure if I should go with 4.5” or 5.5” offset rim to keep the tires as close to flush with the flares as possible (needed for inspection).

Thanks,

Liam

My 35s (35x12.5/17 Goodyear Duratracs) on stock Rubicon wheels and axles are pretty flush with the Rubicon flares. So something close to stock should work.

Do you have any wheels in mind? A zero offset should work ok on an 8.5" width, if you plan to really do a lot of of road duty w/ full suspension flex you may want a bit negative up to around a -12.
I run a 17x8.5 +10 (currently on 295/70s but have 315/70/17s) on a Rubicon suspension and w/ my high fender kit the 35s shouldn't be a problem flexed out. Since you have a non-Rubicon your axles are 1.5" narrower than the Rubicon sets, so you'll need something at least at zero IMO.

I am running 20x9 +1 offset (5.040 backspace) with 35x12.5x20 tires on my JLU Sport. The tires stick out 2.5 inches past the fenders. You will want to run the 5.5 inch backspacing to keep the tires under the fenders as much as possible, but may have rubbing issues do to the with of 35x12.5 tires.
