Conflicting axle info...someone please clarify if possible...

I have a 2018 JLU Sahara, 6sp. Bought used only 4800 miles. My build sheet states only 3rd Gen Dana axles. Question is I've read that at least in 2018 all 6sp came standard with the rear 44 and LSD, but that isnt stated on my build sheet, so do I even have the rear 44 and if so is it with or without LSD?

Thanks, pretty sure I have the 44, just unsure of LSD, never had an LSD before so I wouldn't know by feel I guess!

Jack up the rear axle, set it on wood blocks such that it lifts one tire off the ground. Get in, put in drive, hit the gas. If you drive off the blocks, it’s a LSD.

On my 2018 Sport S 6 speed the axle is listed as a 3rd Generation Dana Solid Rear Axle but the LSD is listed as a $595 option. So the LSD was not standard with the 6 speed in 2018.

All 6 Speeds have a Dana 44 axle but not all have LSD.

If your build sheet doesn’t say you have “anti-slip differential”, then you don’t have it.

Well you don’t need to pull forward much, just a few inches.

Not a good test for LSD anyway as the Traction Control will likely kick in and drive it off the block.

LSD is never included unless you pay for it. There are various ways to get the 44 rear though.

Ah yes you’re gonna need to turn that off first.

A quick way to tell is by the drain plug location. The M200 is pointing straight down at the bottom of the housing. The M220 is pointing sideways on the driver's side.
