On a drive from Illinois to Oklahoma recently, my compass did the same thing. It cleared up after leaving Stillwater OK, city limits. Not sure why this happened but compass was out for the two days I was in Stillwater. (Unconnect 7 inch display). Working fine now...still scratching my head why.

Mine is completely backward. It says I am going S when I am going N. My Jeep is only five months old.

Any suggestions? I took it in for an oil change, and the recall on the cruse control. I forgot to mention it.

I also had issues with mine from day one...I then discovered that there is a recalibration setting in the compass menu on the steering wheel...You need to select calibration and be able to drive in circles until it tells you calibration complete...

Reporting back on this issue, mine seems to clear up and work normal after driving a few miles. Seems to only do this after sitting in garage for a couple days.

I almost started a new thread until I saw this. Just picked up a new JLU last night and the compass always says "N". I'll try the recalibration and see how it goes.

I have tried to find the compass calibration menu in the main dash menu (Between Tach and Speedo) and cannot find it. Can someone tell me where it is
Thanks

Jeep one week, Compass out 180deg off. Did the 5 circles, no help.
Also GPS out. Both are hard outs, not intermittent so dealer should be able to find it. None of the GPS satellites have any signal. Hopping just a fuze or the GPS antenna came loose (if i could find it I could see)

Yes, this. Other vehicles I have had do the same thing. Drive very slow and it picks up the signal.

I ran into the acquiring signal issue, on a trip from Washington State to Chicago IL, and then to Sacramento CA. more times than not the compass app would say acquiring signal, what is it using a GPS, all I have is the Uconnect 4 no Nav. So purchased to manual windows mount compass's both worked fine in the package, mounted to the window in the Jeep, and both of those say I am always going East. A little puzzled and afraid to go get "lost" in my jeep.

I have a 2019 with the 8.4ā€ screen. NAV usually places me 5-25 miles away from my current location. Satellite radio doesnā€™t work either, even with refresh signal from Sirius. Anyone else have this problem?

My JLUR had direction confusion as well. Plus it kept messing up with the location on my phone maps when connected to the Jeep. Driving around in circles accomplished nothing beyond making me feel like an idiot. My local Jeep dealer re-calibrated the GPS and it has worked fine since.
