So I will be purchasing a JLU some time early this year and looking at either the Sport S or Sahara. I won't be doing anything extreme with regards off-roading, so I'm not looking at the Rubicon.

In any case, I was hoping the gurus on here could help explain in basic terms what I would be getting with each of the thread title 4x4/axle systems...i.e. pros/cons etc.

You're welcome. There are quite a few related threads on the forum, if you decide you want to dig deeper into the technical details or get opinions on Sahara v Rubicon (oh, so so many opinions), but those videos are a great starting point.
