Get yourself a drain valve with a hose to bring it through the drain hole provided.
I used a Fumoto valve on my last Jeep to drain the oil and loved it. But I was talking about the oil filter. Can you change the oil filter without removing the engine skid? Just looks like the motor strap sits close to the filter.

Toss the instructions.

  1. Fuel Tank Skid
  2. Transmission Skid
  3. Engine Skid
Krondor, my transmission skid has nuts welded on the back (frame side) where it attaches to the fuel tank skid. So the transmission skid needs to be mounted first, correct? Otherwise the two skids won't be fastened together. Maybe the skid configuration changed for the 2021 2.0L Non-Etorque?

My tank skid had the nuts welded to it, so do what makes sense for your install. But take your time and watch out for bolts that are not like the others. :CWL:

Ordered the seat back stops

  • Left Part # 68485519AA
  • Right Part # 68485522AA

The passenger seat again failed to fold back after putting the grandkids in the back. So we had to pull them out and put them in the Rav4. The crying because they wanted to ride in the Jeep was very heartbreaking.

I've never felt disappointed in my Jeep, but now with the simple inability to fold the seat back into position I can't use it to entertain the boys.

Not touching the driver's seat for fear of not even being able to drive it has me a bit disappointed.

Passenger seat never did return to the full upright and locked position. 💩

Update: Took the Jeep to AutoNation Chrysler Jeep West Service and they found that the back frame needed to be replaced. Parts are on order and I'll bring the Jeep back in 2-3 days to get it fixed. I'll be getting the Jeep tonight after work.

They are helping me out again (they have always been awesome), and confirmed that the driver's seat is working so I no longer have to avoid using it to get into the back area.

I missed this one, but on the V6 the filter is on top of the motor and easily accessed.

Nice job Gary, now if I ever get to follow you on the trail my windshield might just be safe, maybe :)
These may help reduce water spray on wet roads, but you are out of luck if following that close on the road or trail. I'm sure the KO2's will still toss rocks back.

I haven't really found a set of mud flaps I like yet, but it's on the list of possibly maybe.

Update: Got the Jeep back from service yesterday and the seats both work flawlessly.

The service guys at AutoNation Jeep West are great. Happy they are the dealer close to me and Wanderer. 🍻

My driver’s side.
When I had the bolt in the hole that you have here, the bolt end would jam against the motor mount and when tight, it was still loose (if that makes sense). I fought with it a bit, and then realized it goes in the hole closest to the front of the Jeep as (barely) shown in the MC instructions (look at photo K in the link).

How early do you think Black Bear will be open all the way down?

I've been told July, but that would really depend on the snow pack and the road crews. 🤷‍♂️

George @Blksmth is local and can probably say for sure?

I bought my JLUR from them, had a very pleasant experience. Glad to hear they're still taking care of people. 👍
