My scarf is not a great solution, so I ordered some running masks myself. I am surprised at the number of people on the hill, so to keep contact as small as possible I've been riding more. Need a run though, getting so out of shape. lol
We did North, Mt Falcon and Green Mt and I agree quite crowded. I've been doing a lot of neighborhood runs which are not nearly as fun but oh well. Crazy times!

So I washed the Jeep and pulled the windows and doors off for some cruising along the foothills. Chill in the wind, but it was great to drive a bit.
Loving the new mirrors. Perfect if a bit expensive.

So, Dad is working on his 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser and has made incremental progress through the years. I honestly think he drags it on as an excuse to escape to the garage for hours. :giggle:

These are pictures I have from 2014. I have more recent pictures but they have disappeared. He'd got a new motor and a local shop put together his power steering conversion. Apparently there has been "great progress" but I haven't been able to visit in a couple of years due to grandkids and limited time.

How I wish I were closer to work on it with him. If he had moved back to Colorado as was his plan, this would be done and we would be exploring together. :(

He's always called this his "Jeep."

Thats nice, how have you got away with not having a front tag in Colorado?
I went with Factor 55 bits and no longer have the flip plate. It's still on the Jeep so I'm not following?

I will say that I went without a front plate on a previous vehicle for 3 years without being pulled over. Then ticketed 3 times within a period of a few months. I don't recommend going without a plate. :CWL:

I in your other pics there was not front tag, so I was asking where you had it originally before you got the flip plate. I had the car wash take my plate off and I got stopped two times on the way home to fix it. Thats all.

Oh, you must be talking about the first couple of pages when I was still running around with temp tags. You only have the back temp tag while you are waiting for the plates to come in. Once my plates were in they were on. Lesson learned. :like:

I still have the flip plate for sale if you need one for cheap.

What are you using for the front plate now? Is if off to the side?

To the chagrin of FJ fans they've long been referred to as the "Japanese Jeep"

Installed Lange Hoist and took down my Harken Hoist.

The Harken hoist did the job but was not a good fit for my garage setup. It really needs to be setup in line to the back wall where you can give the lines more room.

As luck would have it, I found a Lange JK hoist on CL for a fair price.

I setup the two pulleys so that the cables wouldn't kink.

To take advantage of the safety off, I wouldn't be able to lower the lift all the way to the ground, but it's more than enough to lift the top.

Now all I need is another square tube, some clips, and some Topsy hooks (when available).

Super photos en France difficile de trouver des balades 4x4 comme le reportage photo ...

Je vous remercie! Difficile à trouver mais vous pouvez faire le vôtre? J'espère que vous avez des sentiers amusants où vous évader.
