Could you just take a grinder and notch that corner out? Curious, as I was about to order those skids. For whatever reason I always need to make it harder. Can’t pivot the plate up for the forward mounts because the plate hits this part of the tank shield?
I think the 2 door fuel tank is more forward than on the 4 door. Will see what Evo says.
That may be what I have to do. Waiting to hear back from EVO Manufacturing for their thoughts first.Could you just take a grinder and notch that corner out? Curious, as I was about to order those skids.
That is pretty cool, but I was curious about the room around the roll bars. I mounted an air compressor on the back of the roll bar with a bracket I made and I'm afraid that the angle of the fastback is too steep to be able to still use it.I really like these extra pockets if that's what you are talking about?
Here are some more pictures. I think you would be okay but I know my tank will not fit there now. That is pretty cool, but I was curious about the room around the roll bars. Will the exhaust loop skid fit the 2 door? I was under the impression that the 2 door loop is different and this skid won't fit.Next up the Evo skid plates....
- EVO Manufacturing JL ProTek Exhaust Loop Skid (11.5lbs)
- EVO Manufacturing JL ProTek Engine Trans Skid (30.1lbs)
They fit John's (@jlopes68) 2 door so I'm confident they'll fit mine. But yes, I may end up using the jack to crush the plate into place. Waiting on Evo's recommendations now. Will the exhaust loop skid fit the 2 door? I was under the impression that the 2 door loop is different and this skid won't fit.
Also, I saw on another forum some guy did end up notching the engine/tranny skid where it meets the fuel tank.
Who are you asking? I don't recall if i posted a link lolQuick question from one of your older post. Is the amazon link for the Trimlock the link for the correct diameter? I'm about to get some as I was wheeling up in the mountains a week or so ago and I'm still trying to pull pebbles out of the cracks!
