I appreciate the expertise of those who know more on this subject than I --

If I have:
A set of tube doors with a power-coated matte-black finish

Does that significantly impact or impede:
An ability or cost to personally or professionally have them color-matched to a Hydro Blue Pearl (PBJ) body color?

I wouldn't think so. I've painted some parts that had a powdercoat finish, just gave them a light scuffing and then sprayed them the color of my choice. Haven't had any issues. Unless you want the tube doors to have a factory finish, Hydro Blue in a spray can & some automotive clear should work well.

I typically get my factory match paints from www.automotivetouchup.com.

Did you ever paint them? Pics if you took them, I would be interested in seeing this....
