Mine get mounted to my door hangers (hinge style)

I only ever have one or the other on at a time.

It’s only a problem if you like to keep your expensive mirrors in good shape when they’re laying around the garage or in the back of the Jeep when not in use. Otherwise can just throw them anywhere. Or if you’re doorless 100% of the time and never take them off.
