You should have purchased from a reliable brand like Honda, then.Ya know, I've loved my Jeeps for years. Had my JKU for over 10 years. Other than normal service and wear and tear never had a problem and it always got me home. I bought my JLU with the intention of having it a long time. I'm starting to think it's going to get traded sooner than later for something NOT an FCA product.
I'm thinking the same thing. Would have leased it if I had known it would have so many issues. I planned on owning it for 10-15 years. Now I have a bad feeling that as soon as it goes out of warranty it is going to have all sorts of issues.Ya know, I've loved my Jeeps for years. Had my JKU for over 10 years. FCA will swap all affected JLs with a Renegade.
It sounds like the Clutch Pressure plate doesn't have enough clamping force ( weak springs) allowing the clutch disc to slip against the flywheel , creating heat, lots of heat.
The Low- Bid suppliers, lack of Quality Testing, systemic problems that will cost far more to remedy, than to have avoided by QUALITY CONTROL.
All of the vehicle manufacturers are having these issues, Toyota's Fuel pumps ( almost 2 MILLION) , Kia's catching fire, Subaru Class Action Lawsuit for defective windshields, the Bean Counters are not paying attention to the COST TO REMEDY their Low- Bidder approach.
