I just had mine done at 38k miles here in Annapolis, unfortunately I went from zero problems to now having to go back to dealer a third time. First time, within ten miles of leaving the shop the slave cylinder failed. Claimed to have been due to tech improperly seating a seal - I did not bother to inspect it myself but I absolutely knew what it was when the pedal resisted and then popped to the floor. Trying to get back in because after they fixed that, upon leaving, the 4WD dash light and locker light on the console are blinking and the vehicle is telling me auto stop start is disabled as well (thats a blessing in disguise lol). My thought is that the rear diff cable got knocked loose or gunked up, but again I am going to let them deal with it since it is under warranty. I like the dealership and they are trying to be very helpful, it is just unfortunate that it is not going smoothly.

And, I wasn't even having clutch issues to begin with. Was just trying to be safe since I got the kiddos in the car often.

I had the clutch recall done Mid Dec, no issues so far although it hasn't been long. It's actually not markedly different.

It took two weeks, they installed the clutch 2 times. They say they had a mechanic "from corporate" come and advise, they shaved down a push rod to get the actuation to work and installed a complete new clutch recall kit the second time. The underside isn't all banged up and there are no signs of stripped fasteners or whatnot. I'm grateful they took the time to get it working rather than releasing it unfinished like so many of you have experienced. I did buy the Jeep from this dealer and they have taken care of me in the past for the steering box, LH Miller Bountiful UT.

Well I can’t say I’m feeling any better about this situation.

I never had any work done at this particular dealer and did not buy my jeep there.

I don’t want to be unfair to them but I can’t help but feel if there is an issue they won’t really be too concerned based on the initial phone calls when the software update came out which I wouldn’t do.

They’re based in Martinsburg WV if anyone has had a recall done there it would be great to hear how it turned out

Didn’t the 23’s and 24’s get the recall done at the dealer or factory before sale ?
I took delivery of my 2023 in December 2022, the recall wasn't announced until Feb/March 2023. So most 2023's were probably pre recall. No issues with my clutch at this point, I plan on waiting a while to do the recall. Get as many miles as possible when I get the new clutch...

Check your Aux battery. I've had 3 fail between my JL and JT and it always starts with the ESS and other wonky random warnings. Might not be the problem but worth checking.

I bought my Jeep used with 25k miles. I don't think the recall was done because I called, and they wanted me to make an appointment. I declined because my Jeep drives perfect and from the horror stories I keep hearing, I'm just going to wait until it's a need. But my question is, I see the gear I'm on in the dash, so I guess that means I have the software update. But what software update are we talking about here? Mines 2021.
Bought our ‘22 Rubicon new and ours had it since day 1. We have not had the recall done.

So how did everything turn out?
I am debating whether to take mine in for the recall. I just received a call from my dealership saying they have the parts and availability. I have heard so many horror stories about the replacement so I am still skeptical. I have very low miles and the clutch performs fine.
I have been watching this thread from the start and I would like to see a few more successful replacements to make me take it in for the recall.
Don't do it!

It's still in the shop for "shifter adjustment".As soon as I left the dealer and reached the thrird set of lights I couldn't shift into the 1st gear and so it was a quick U turn and I headed back to see the clutch specialist.Hopefully tomorrow it's done.
You have my greatest sympathies. How wonderful my Jeep originally shifted and how sloppy the original clutch engaged. Now it's all reversed. GREAT clutch action, but getting it into 1st, 5th and Reverse on a regular basis is the challenge.
I hope you have better luck than I. I took my JL to the Dealership and went on a ride with the service manager and then the tech. Both observed the deficiencies. Dropped it off for repair and they found nothing wrong. Returned for a 2d 'repair' and again they found nothing wrong. I'll give the dealership a solid for not charging me, but I'm ready to pay for a fix.
It's not an operator error issue. After a TJ, JY, Suzuki Samurai, and a plethora of motorcycles and trucks - all manual transmissions - "I" know how to shift.
If your dealership can get the shifting corrected, I'd be VERY pleased to know which one. If it's anywhere on the east coast, I'll give them a try.

Glad you finally got it worked out to your satisfaction

I’m still cowering in the corner over having my 2020 JL done

I’m holding off for now

I incorrectly 'believed' that the dealership mechanic did a less than adequate job updating my JL clutch recall and fried my radio/video display during the reprogramming.

It's taken 5-months for someone to tell me that the PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE IS CORRUPT, and that's what caused the radio/video displays to fail.

I'm still waiting for a replacement and there is nothing in the foreseeable future. Nuts, and I was NOT the first one to have the corrupt programming installed!

I wish Jeep would replenish their stocks of radio/video displays! Or pay for an aftermarket alternative.

I don't miss the music, it's the reduction in SAFETY when the backup camera display won't work in crowded parking lots or playgrounds. It's an inconvenience to be isolated from the Hill Assist, clock, etc controls. It's a needless challenge hooking up a trailer or backing down an undeveloped trail.

I am so disappointed. . . .

I dropped mine off at the Dealership today for the 92A sensor recall and the tech mentioned to me they are having a lot of trouble with the OEM slave cylinders.
Said yesterday they had to replace 3 trying to bleed for a clutch recall on one unit.

So happy I went with the CFII.

I'd be curious if you slide the rubber boot back from the slave that there is any fluid in there on mine. Looking under the Jeep I cannot see any fluid marks but maybe it has been contained in the boot? I also however noticed no drop in the reservoir fluid level so IDK. Taking the slave out and checking under the boot might be part of the diagnostic process. Should it be bone dry or would some wetness from "seepage" be normal?

Sounds like incompetence, not a part problem. We've been seeing that a lot. One customer had their Jeep at the dealership for three weeks waiting for their "expert" to work on it, who wasn't able to bleed the hydraulics. The customer (not a mechanic) was able to do with at home with some help from a friend. Dealership charged $750...
