Has anyone figured out if it makes sense to mention clutch degradation for a reimbursement or just say it was done for prevention. I am scheduled to have a centerforce installed next week.

Tagging @Maverick909I've skimmed over this thread and wanted to post my recent experience. Please excuse my ignorance if there is a fix mentioned here because I didn't see one for my specific situation. Hopefully someone has had a similar experience. I have a 2024 JL Rubicon 6MT with now 13,000 miles on it. I've had 0 issues with it, just my grumbling on some rock climbing with it's light clutch but I digress...
Well last week, I had my offroad shop install new Falken AT4W 35's on the Jeep. We didn't do any programming just installed the tires and off I went. I drove it for a few days on/off highway using all the gears and had no problem. Well, I decided that I should program for 35's so my speedo was accurate. A friend helped me install a Tazer JL Lite and only set tire size to 35 (34.96" I think we used was the closest) and tire pressure warnings to 33. We followed the instructions, marry, full reboot, etc. However he has an automatic in his and I read instructions later that night there were specific add'l steps for the manual trans and I know we didn't do those. Well, continuning on... Full day of trails no problem. On the way home, the moment I got up to highway speeds and shifted into 5th gear, I got ESS warnings, and then clutch hot limited performance, then service transmission, then limp mode. I pulled over, tried a bunch of stuff like disconnecting tazer, unmarrying tazer, disconnecting battery for a while. Nothing got me out of condition.
I took the Jeep to our Tazer friendly dealership and they reprogrammed the Jeep with their tools/software to 35's from the factory and I was on my way. Same thing, got to 65 mph 5th gear and same sequence of alerts and limp mode happened. I've now tried to pick up the Jeep 3 times and each time they said it was fixed but it's not.
I hope they can figure it out. They opened a Star case for my specific Jeep. I have not attempted the Tazer again since and kind of afraid to. I'm hoping they can fix it with dealer tools/processes.
Is there any workarounds or proven fixes with anyone in this thread that has upgraded to 35's with the 2024's? Mine never had the recall as it's post-recall software / assembly. If anyone has a process that has worked, I'd love to pass it onto our dealership. Apparently they don't get many manuals in there and I think I'm the first 2024 they've seen in this condition.

I have a ODBII scanner compatible with Jscan ordered and coming today. My jeep is still at the dealer since Monday but I'll be sure to stick this in the glove box!sorry to hear about your issue. you may want to remarry the Tazer and make sure that the tire size was saved. my dealer wasnt able to make adjustments to the tire and gear ratios. (so the service manager said) my case was quite different. as the gear ratio was so far off that soon as the service tech or i made it into second gear the service transmission light would come on.. though i can remember someone else have the problem you are i just dont remember what their forum name was. but it was around this time last year myself and them where having two different issues but where both able to be fixed. you could try a set off take off stock wheels and tires and resetting back to factory and driving around for a coupe weeks and see if the problem comes back. if not swap your 35's back on and use the tazer to readjust tire size again back to some thing around 34.71" and give that a go and see what happens. I know its frustrating but hopefully you get it back without any more issues
on a size note might want to get a Jscan as well. they are the only OBDII reader that will reset the service transmission light and get the jeep out of limp mode.
i do remember doing this with my 35's but never with my 37's thus this could help @wreck99Maybe I'm over simplifying, but it sounds to me like you've had a compounded issue. You didn't (at least from what I've read) perform the top gear set and two sleep cycles. If you don't do that, you will trigger an ESS alert. I'm guessing this ESS alert is also triggering your transmission error. When I got my gears done, a very reputable gear guy was unaware of the Manual Top Gear Relearn procedure, and I got the ESS. For reference, here is the page from zautomtive: https://zautomotive.com/zpu/instructions/jlm6relearn.pdf
If this is redundant and I missed something, I apololgize for stating the obvious. :D
Worth a quick call to them. And an hour of your timeI wonder if the dealer will do this or if i will have to. I didn't get any updates today.
It is a Mopar TSB. I believe that is what inspired the update to zautomtive. The same procedure applies to virtually any program. I would like to assume your dealer would know about it, but you know what they say about assuming...Worth a quick call to them. And an hour of your time
My update from today is they have ordered a gear position sensor. I have given the service dept the zautomotive steps in hopes they can relate that to their procedures.
