Climate 'sync' option - gimme a button, please?

I'm looking at swapping out the head unit, but the lone hesitation that I have is that I may end up losing climate controls, and thus the only way to sync the climate settings.

The manual expressly states: "NOTE: The SYNC button is only available on the touchscreen" (page 81).

Any hope for a Tazer tweak (like adding "sync" as an extra fan option on the mode button) or other option for this touchscreen-bound feature?

yeah you have to hunt for the SYNC button but that damned "Press OK for KMs", that you would almost never use, comes up every time you switch back to the speedo. backwards BS...

Looking up the Tazer Mini product description, I find:

"– Change HVAC controls setting to allow use of dual zone controls on single zone Jeep (for those upgrading the 5″ radio)"

Anyone see anything IRL like support for sync (or max AC) that I'm not seeing?

I am waiting on the arrival of my 7 inch radio. On the 8.4 the sync button is in the climate tab, I’m sure it is in the tab in the 7 inch as well. I am replacing the HVAC control also to have the volume/tune controls as well as the sensors needed for ATC. JScan has the option to enable ATC.
