Call a priest! What is this causing this clicking noise coming from the passenger side of my dash? It can happen whether the car is running or not. Possibly related to the heating/air conditioning?

That makes 3 of us *yippie!*Dang it, got excited for a second because I, too, have a rattling/clicking noise coming from the passenger side but your noise is way louder and goes thumpety thump. Took my glovebox out but the rattle persists...
Methinks it's off to the dealer for you and me.
If I had to bet.... it's a blend door actuator motor causing the noise. (Electric motor that controls blend door ) when you move temp controls, the motor opens or closes a door in the heater box to direct air flow.....common issues with general motor vehicles..replaced numerous ones over my years as a tech. What is this causing this clicking noise coming from the passenger side of my dash? im trying to find how to replace it, not seeing any post or guides for DIY, would I follow the JK videos? my clicking noise when the ac is on is coming from the passenger side. I do have single zone climate too. Is the actuator on driver side or passenger side?Blender motor. Easy to replace if you have small hands.
So how did you fix this I have the same issue? For me, it sounds like an old hard-drive that's about to fail.
Comes from the behind the glove-box.
I can hear this noise after I turn off the vehicle and it lingers for about 2-3 minutes.
I've noticed this noise ever since my 12v battery crapped out on me once and I had to put it on a battery tender.
[UPDATE]
Found the problem - it's the blend door actuator behind the passenger glove box
Here is the video of my blend door actuator going crazy and making clicking noise after turning off the Jeep.
You'll need a new one. There's no easy way to repair the broken one.So how did you fix this I have the same issue?
I've never done one in a Wrangler and sorry, no I do not. You should be able to get the PN from your local service department parts desk though. How hard is that and do you have a part number?
