I am betting castle nuts on ball joints, once they are torqued correctly that should take the clicking noise away, see if it makes that noise in 4 high or 2 high

Does it make that clicking noise when you let off the gas going like 10-20 MPH and its coasting? My sport makes a similar noise to that.

Did you ever figure out what this was? My 2017 JKUR, which I believe has the same transfer case as the JL Rubicon, is making a very similar sounding noise. It clicks once when I hit the gas, and once when I let off. Only in 4 low, not 4 high or 2wd. Which makes me think it's something I side the transfer case.

I also get a louder click/clunk when shifting from drive to neutral on the AT, again only when in 4 low.

Here's a video of mine showing both of those symptoms:

Thanks. So hers makes that noise too? I don't have any friends with Rubicons (yet anyways) to get another data point, but I did ask a few other Jeepers at the offroad park yesterday to take a quick listen, one of them drove a rubi and didn't think his made that noise (although they were stopped and I didn't ask em to fire up just to test it out for me).

Hi DesertRubi,

If you end up going into the dealer to get this inspected, let us know. We're available via direct message and would be happy to escalate for further handling.

Anyone else experiencing this clicking noise in 4 Low?

Hi, I am also experiencing this in 4LOW on a 2018 JLUR ever since I got the vehicle delivered brand new from the dealer. I have been told this is normal by the service mechanics. They also did checks on twice without any issues remarked. Other people with 2018 JLUR tell me that they don't experience the same noise. The noise becomes more prominent when I am going downhill.

Did you ever find a solution to it? It starts to bug me quite a bit.
